Learn More About Leveraging The Web For Better Business Results:
How can I monetize my web site?
If you are looking to monetize a pure web business, some pretty simple formulas have been developed, which when properly executed, have proven successful.
The process starts with advanced keyword analysis, which when married to suitable products, can maximize your return on time invested.
Steps to Monetizing Specific Keyword Strings:
1. Data mine micro-niche keywords 3-4 words in length, based on products or services that sell well online.
2. Purchase a domain name that contains the 3-4 word micro-niche keyword string you have chosen.
3. Launch and SEO optimize your site using the keyword strings (photos, alt tags, headers, inline text - all using the keyword string) with fresh focused content for high Google ranking.
4. Track sites with tools like Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics for statistical feedback, which is used to further fine tune the site.
5. Procure backlinks for your site - Better to have solid backlinks from content relevant sites
6. Monetize with ad-sense, affiliate links, or direct sales
7. Repeat Process
You will get different results with different sets of keywords. You may get good quick traffic on one set, and have to wait awhile for another to catch on. Traffic can also come in waves, the key is to keep panning . . don't give up, refine your process, and you have the chance of breaking through.
Below is a video how-to on utilizing this process in a very simple form. It uses parasite hosting, meaning the page is hosted on a third party site, so you don't even need to build a website to start monetizing specific keyword strings.
It takes time and persistence, but it will pay off.

Are you a "Trust Agent"?
A trust agent places himself in a position of trust, and then leverages this unique position. I could simply place a list of my web services on this very page, but instead I am educating you, and in the process trying to become a trust agent. I don't just offer web services, I "own" them.
Understanding how to leverage this trust is what makes some sites successful. Do you understand how to take what you’re doing in one instance and extend it out into something bigger or better elsewhere? This is the Archimedes Effect.
Make Your Own Game.

What you should know before changing or moving your site.
If you have had a web presence for many years, and built up some trust with Google and Yahoo, moving or changing your site incorrectly could have disastrous effects. Have you heard of people just "losing traffic"? Most often it is self induced!
Why is that?
The key thing to understand here is that Google ranks web pages, not web sites.
Let's say you have a site for years with the following three pages - index.html, aboutus.html, and services.html and Google has you nice and cataloged with links going to these exact pages. Now you upgrade to a content management system, which has pages called index.php, about-us.php and services.php.
The names are different, and in the process of changing your site, you are pulling the three pages you have had listed with Google, and providing an error page instead. Google does not like error pages. Soon, your rankings will begin to drop. Your new site will start building back up over time, but who wants to start from scratch?
Likewise, improperly forwarding a domain (web address) without a proper domain alias can be catastrophic. You must move your chess pieces wisely.
Having your secretary manage your domain without any knowledge of the underpinnings of domain and server management, can take you out of the web game without even knowing it.
